A blue "O"? I thought most of these were signed in red. It doesn't look like those I have seen from this event - BallRoomDays67 will know.
The photo is dated July 1976 so it's obviously a later copy print.
Some Land polaroid cameras I have contain date stampers within the camera which can be manually changed. They are the month and the last 2 digits of the year. I've seen a few Polaroids of Paul from 1969 that say 70 because the date was set wrong. It is a generation 1 polaroid
How can this be proven in this case? What is your definition of a "Generation 1" photoraphic print?
Kodak snapshot instant photo. Polaroid. Fujifilm peelapart instant photo. Polaroid land photo.
I've seen examples of all these formats, apart from the first, printed much later than the shutter click and I am only speaking to Judy Garland Fan Club photographs. I am more involved with vintage material.
This site, Cycleback RE Photography. can be most useful.
I don't disagree but there are those who will ask the question. While most all folks going after a Maca should be aware of this fact and many others, that can't be much the case for all looking at what some folks are buying. My thing is mostly vintage Hollywood and it is simply shocking how few can ID an original still. Some are struggling with live ink...
Lovely photos BTW!
Here is one of mine from Sardi's in 1967, Click for full image:
For example there's a picture of my dad when he was 5 that says MAR - 70 on the side. He was born in November 1970 so obviously the date stamps in the camera was set wrong.
Most signed in red are from the second day. May 17. There's a polaroid photo of John that sold with a signed white album of him holding a red pen. Most signed by him on that day were with that pen. Mine is from the first day May 16. Not as many came out that day as they did the second and third.
Ballroomdays is very good. One of my WFIL autographs is on his page discussing WFIL.
Why did you delete your reply about a different pen used on the second day? That could have been useful, although I'm pretty sure Ballroom can speak to the signature on its own merits.
Because I replied to my post. I like to reply to individual comments.
