Hi All,

I decided to part with this lovely portrait from the period of Earthquake. The photo is by Wallace Seawell:

"

Signed boldly in black ink with optimal placement and contrast, this exceptional silver gelatin photograph is single weight and glossy and remains in Excellent Condition. Known for her relationship with Howard Hughes and films from 1943's Ghosts on the Loose with Bela Lugosi and The Bowery Boys, to such classics as The Barefoot Contessa and Showboat to Night of the Iguana and Earthquake, she was a true Hollywood star of old.

Wallace Seawell was known for photographing Hollywood stars such as Bette Davis and Gregory Peck. Seawell also took photos of other public figures such as President Lyndon B. Johnson and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, as well as photos for album covers for well-known singers such as Johnny Mathis and Peggy Lee. He also took the memorable photo of Sam Cooke for his final studio album, Ain't That Good News, in 1964. This fine stamped studio portrait of Ava Gardner C. 1976 will be a wonderful addition to any collection of quality stamped or marked original portraits."
