So this seller wants $10,000 for his authentic Nirvana autograph but he dosn't want to spend a couple hundred dollars to get a proper COA. What I really got a laugh about is how he claims to have gotten all the autographs in person and will even give you the photographs if you buy the item. The pictures of him with Dave & Krist are very recent. So are we to believe he had this autographed photo of Kurt sitting around for 20 years and then tracked down Dave and Krist to make it a complete group signed photo. The 10 cent photo copied COA with the pretty little gold star in the corner should do the trick.

Ah yes sorry its early here im half asleep, i think the photos are designed to give the buyers paying three times what its worth some sense of well being who knows
He post's a high price and the pictures and all the other BS in the description to make it seem real. Then he wait's for a sucker to come along and do a best offer for $500 or a $1,000 hoping they can get a great deal on a real autograph of Kurt Cobain and grab's their loot. If you have item's that are worth thousands of dollars you pay to get them authenticated by PSA or JSA. The couple hundred you spend on getting it graded increases the value tremendously. ONLY REASON YOU DON'T GET A $10,000 AUTOGRAPH AUTHENTICATED IS BECAUSE YOU KNOW IT ISN'TT REAL!!!
That Prince signed LP is the best. He posted a picture of Prince walking down for provenance. LOL
PSA DNA just failed it via quick opinion. So as suspected not looking good. I am waiting to hear back from a contact I have over at whats remaining at Geffen to see if they ever sent out sign press kits even though not sure why if he got it from geffen he is using "proof" shots unless trying to trick someone since one thing has nothing to do with the other.
I feel bad that you even wasted $10 on the quick opinon but hopefully it's money well spent and atleast get's one fraud off of Ebay.
I have a few free credits wasting away. I dont pay. I send a link to a buddy of mine who makes it happen. Report it to ebay also it will stream line them looking at it.
Hey I'm new to this site, was just thinking what you guys thought of this. Thanks!
Not authentic sorry.
Thanks for the feedback. I should have clarified. I actually got this autograph in person in 1993 and was wondering how much it was worth. I thought this site had credible sources and reliable fans. You shouldn't comment on items that you do not know for certain about.
Hi Heather. The problem with Kurt Cobain autographs are that 99% cannot be proved as genuine and all are relatively easy to fake. There have been some great stories around how Kurt autographs have been obtained (quite a few on this site) but unless you have a video or pictures of Kurt actually signing your piece then they are just 'stories'. So then you are reliant on peoples opinions (professional or otherwise), and that is where it gets sticky. But Paul is absolutely right in that this site would be a very quiet place if opinions were not given freely.
Anyway, back to Kurt Cobains autograph - I am sure I will be corrected by much more knowledgeable people but as far as I can tell the only reliable autographs of his are those on official documents or the fan club newsletters from 1991.
