Hey I bought this recently from a guy who had a big collection of nirvana signed items got them verified on rareandsigned.com and sold them. This was his last item. Apparently signed sep 13 1991 at the nevermind release party.

Sorry J

I needed the close-up to see it better (one letter in particular)

I won't say what I saw, but I see my eyes deceived me now

much better thank you

My eyes were deceiving me before and not what I see now

This is his latest explination

bought this tee shirt in 1997 from VIP events auction in Leicester. Most of the items there had come from journalists and major players in the industry. Most of the items i brought from there were from a japanese journalist from 'Rocking On magazine and had the coa's with them. I paid a huge amount of money at the time for my items as Kurt has only been dead for a few years and it was still hot topic. The items i have bought from this fair, at the particular stall have since sold for around 2k with the coa's. To my knowledge they all came from one of 3 sources and this one was from the Journalist.

Rob Lythall was working there at the time.

this is the address,

heres the website http://www.vip-24.com/

This is a very professional event and has been active for many many years, selling many rare records and genuine autographs to the public, face to face under the scrutiny of regulation.

Its easy to want to believe, but a story is just that - a story. It really doesnt mean anything. Its all gobbledey-g*** meant to   deceive. Again, nobody sells authentic Nirvana that cheap. Would you? It simply makes no sense.

"...Hey I bought this recently from a guy who had a big collection of nirvana signed items got them verified on rareandsigned.com and sold them..."

Is there anything to actually connect this item with that 1997 sale? I have not read all of this yet. It appears there is nothing to support anything.

PS - Apart from the apparent change in date of the purchase of this item from "recently" to "20 years ago", the addition of this "new" information and suggested "name sources" doesn't seem...odd timing at least? Glad you are getting a refund.

+1

I hate to the bearer of bad news, but those look really bad. #1- I can't recall a time when Kurt ever signed his last name at a venue. But, I guess the person you bought it from had to convince both you and them.#2- Kurt wasn't signing all "Professional Like" til the end.

Where was this party? Do you have any further information?

Can you message me this persons name and location?

Thanks,

Gemma,

This guys story is BS. After reading his "Description" I am pretty certain this is crap. He's trying to guilt you in to keeping it by stating he wants it back so he can make more money. Yeah. Right.

At least now you have a picture of what not to buy.

Definitely send it back. And require an extra $20 for the hassle.

If you have any further inquiries for the DGC bunch from that era, send me a message so I can  give you some contact info. I don't necessarily have an expert opinion, but I know a lot of these "Stars".
