hello everyone i am  back again with another question. im looking at a game used and signed jeremy hill jersey of the bengals. it looks game used and it is signed with inscription "4 eva lsu" so could have been a jersey swap to another fellow lsu player. there are pictures with matching stains of it being worn and im 90% its the same jersey. my question is why doesnt it have any kind of coa. i contacted the seller and this is what he told me.

No there is no COA. Many game used jerseys are given to other players or friends, family, or business associates of the athlete. Most big win game jerseys like playoffs or broken records are kept by the players but they give away the lesser important ones. More jerseys end up in the hands of friends, family and business associates than PSA and football jersey cards. If you look at large auction houses you will see the auction house has to verify and supply their own COA and or PSA long after the fact because the player gave the jersey to someone he knew as a gift. This Jeremy Hill jersey isnt worth the time or money to pay for a COA but can easily be photo matched to that specific game. The autograph also is an easy match to his other verified auto's. Also who would think to make up 'Luv 4 Eva LSU' besides the player himself? If this jersey was worth $3,000 the auction house would take it and COA it but unless the Bengals start winning a lot or he goes to another team its value wont get that high.

is there any truth to this? is it legit in yalls opinion? from a collectors stand point i feel you gotta have a coa unless a photograph of it being worn is enough proof. i dont know.

thanks again
