Hi

what do you think about the eBay dealer

nyautographguy.

he looks really reliable as all autographs have a Beckett certification and the the certification number is also ok (you can check this on the Beckett website). But I have discovered that he is often selling items he has sold weeks before - upon my question he answered that the bidder did not pay which of course can happen but if it happens more often this seems a bit fishy to me.

Yes, I've been following him for a while now and have noticed the same thing. And the fact that all his items have a BAS cert also raises a red flag for me. I mean how many Peter O'Toole's can you really have to offer, week after week? It's as if they were all just blindly certified, perhaps through some personal connection? I have definitely seen this before with a seller who had everything he was selling with a PSA sticker, and every single one I checked out was a fake! And he'd have the same celebs but on different pictures week after week. They weren't even in the PSA database, until I alerted PSA about it, then they would mysteriously appear there! But NO way anyone in their right mind should've  certed these fakes...which is when I lost all faith in PSA. But then BAS came along and I thought they were supposed to be different. Anyways, I've heard of cases where stickers have been stolen or forged, but I'm not sure if that's the case here. So yes, I'd definitely like to hear what others have to say about this seller as well.

I checked some of the certificates - all have been in the BAS database.

I’m currently interested in a Michael Douglas he is selling.  It looks legit and is beckett certified to me, but I’m troubled by the fact that he offers decent realistic Buy It Now prices for some authenticated items, yet he also has several auctions starting out at very very low prices with buyers bidding.  That part seems very fishy to me.

"...he looks really reliable as all autographs have a Beckett certification and the the certification number is also ok (you can check this on the Beckett website)...."

That could be seen as self affirming non-sense.

I have lost a bit of faith in Beckett lately and no longer trust them anymore.  They certified tons of Arnold Schwarzeneggar autos which were in reality secretarial signatures and not authentic at all.

And didn't they have a problem with Roger Waters recently?

Its the autograph that matters, not these companies.

I was considering this Michael Douglas by him, but I’m not totally sure.  He’s asking a very reasonable price, but if I can get another from a more trusted source even if I need to pay more, I would consider it.
