i've posted regarding robin's signature a few times and haven't gotten any firm opinions on the auctions i posted about.  his signature varies so wildly that i'm feeling completely lost as to what is and what isn't authentic.  i bought a signed rolling stone that i'm pretty sure is authentic, but i didn't get an opinion when i asked here.  don't get me wrong, i appreciated the comparison pics, but for a newbie, that's even more confusing!  lol

i'm new at this, so please forgive the many posts.

i'm going to try one more time to see if someone can authenticate this ebay auction i'm considering: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/161477904390?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_t...

i wish i could properly convey how much robin means to me and how much an authentic autograph that i can afford would mean to me, but words...  sometimes they fail.  suffice it to say that his stand-up got me through some very rough times and i'm sorry i never thought to write to say thank you.

anyway, i would appreciate opinions on the above auction.

thanks to all.

I feel that this one is not good. I recommend you to buy one with PSA/DNA certificate as it has more than 90% chance that it will be authentic.

If you want to buy right now, I recommend you to bid on Ebay as below link. This one has PSA certificate and the price is most reasonable at this moment.

The one shown does not look authentic Gen. What sort of budget do you have in mind as the price is coming down and depending on the type of photo you want you can get something good,

i am in canada so prices are high no matter what. my budget is pretty small, since i have to factor in high shipping prices and customs. 50-60$ CAD would be the highest i could feasibly pay. thanks for the opinions. i bid on the card in my excitement but am going to retract my bid, i think, since the seller doesn't sem to be willing to send me more pictures than the ones in the listing. i need to learn patience, i guess, and possibly realize that i may never be able to afford an authentic robin autograph. :(
Gen, I sure hope you can find an affordable, authentic Robin Williams autograph. I'm no expert on his signature, so I really don't think I can really volunteer a worthy opinion at this point. However, I just want to say that I completely understand your admiration for the man. IMO, Robin was the greatest, most brilliant comedian of all-time. There have been many very good ones, but he was the best. And nobody had the brilliance with improv that Robin had. But he was so much more than that. He was a great humanitarian as well. Everything I've ever read or seen for myself suggests that he was a truly special human being with a most kindred spirit. He was generous of heart, time, and money. It may sound cliche, but really if more people were like Robin Williams the world would be a better place, and we would all smile and laugh a whole lot more. When God created Robin, He gave us all a wonderful gift. Besides his stand up, he was in so many great movies. Probably "Dead Poets' Society" and "Mrs. Doubtfire" were my favorites.

And I too can relate to your challenges. I have a very painful degenerative nerve disease, and like you, I am very much still mourning the loss of my beloved mom, who passed away quickly and unexpectedly ten months ago. She was wonderful and meant everything to me. Yet a caring, funny man like Robin Williams just helped to lift everyone's spirit. His impact on the world will last forever I believe. RIP Mom and Robin.
oh james. thank you for sharing your story. thank you for putting into words exactly what i feel about robin. he means a lot to me still and i will miss him until my last. i got a tattoo of the genie in august as a memorial and it's a reminder of someone who helped me through some of the darkest times of my life. i don't know why an autograph is so important to me but it is. i hope he's making both our moms laugh in heaven. <3

p.s. aladdin and dead poets' society are my favorites but his stand-up is what i truly love of his.
