Hi Not entirely sure if this is legit. I have a couple to compare to from1991.

The 'D' is different  and the 'avid' interfering with it, and that trademark 'R' and the squashed 'Roth' is off. The lean of the overall signing is different too, leaning to the right .

Now things change, but my gut is telling me it's not right. Again though, I'd get a few more opinions and check some of the genuine Van Halen signings on this site.

Hey Micko, thanks for the reply.

It looks consistent with some of his signatures prior to rejoining VH to me - the "D", anyways.  Now it seems a little more circular with a stick somewhere in left of centre - if that makes sense.  It does look like it was dashed off in hurry where as with yours, it appears that he took some time.  I guess my real problem is that he only wants $50 - now I suppose that if he just wanted to unload it, may seem reasonable, but he also has a fully signed U2 "Boy" CD for the same price which set off some alarm bells :)

This doesn't look good to me, and i've seen lots of DLR signatures over the years.
