Hello everyone,

I hate to ask this, as ive tried to do my own homework regarding this signature, but really dont know what to make of this item. I purchased it because it had a low price due to the nature of the piece, which is very unusual. The LP is not signed at all, but rather a postage label that has been stuck to the LP. The seller states that the owner got it signed in person (dont they all), and that they sent a scan to the J Geils website and they said it was sig. I treat this though with a grain of salt, b/c even if it did happen, im sure the individuals their are probably not vastly knowledgeable with his signature. So i just dont know. I compared it to quite a few pieces online, but the sig itself is so simple, it would be pretty easy to forge i think.

But on the otherhand, i cant imagine a forger slapping a white lable on the lp and signing it on that label. It would cut down the value so much. So my gut tells me this is either real, or someone that was having some fun or some person who thought they might sell it for more bucks on ebay by slapping it on their. But i def dont think a professional forger did it.

I hope their are some out their that have more knowledge here than me. PSA quick opinion couldnt render an opinion.

Thanks for reading and looking

Carl
