Adam Halloran replied to Tim G.'s discussion WHEN AUTHENTICATORS AUTHENTICATE (AUTOGRAPHS) TOO STRICTLY- IS IT GOOD OR BAD FOR THE HOBBY??
"Not sure Tim. I think they ususally (if my memory serves me) would give a credit for another QO (in PSA's case I believe)  In my mind, I would rather not buy something that is too difficult for an "expert" to rightfully…"

Adam Halloran replied to Tim G.'s discussion WHEN AUTHENTICATORS AUTHENTICATE (AUTOGRAPHS) TO STRICTLY- IS IT GOOD OR BAD FOR THE HOBBY??
"I think a deeper problem is, the "collector" has a vested interest in the TPA to never look like they are failing, or to just to write off errors from time to time as human error. If a TPA makes so many blatant mistakes, then it starts to…"

Adam Halloran replied to Joe W.'s discussion A Rolling Stones assignment. Is it real?
"Agreed. Especially when you haven't even outted his name. The "stress" arguement as well doesn't hold water either, since you have been respectful about this.  No offense to Roger, as I do have respect for him, but he…"

The Muses In Music And Other Assorted Inspirations.

Posted on October 23, 2017 at 5:51pm 3 Comments

Where does inspiration come from? For many musicians a song can be a throw away or nonsensical or have no deep meaning at all.  Others, perhaps had come to them in a dream. The song "Yesterday" had been said to have came to Paul McCartney this way and "Across The Universe" made its way cosmically to John Lennon.

All You Need Is Love-When Collecting The Beatles!

Posted on February 24, 2017 at 4:00pm 12 Comments

I never had the chance to see The Beatles perform in concert. I was born in 1983, sadly a few years too late to be a "first generation fan".... Okay well more than a few years too late.
Also with there never being a chance for a true reunion with John Lennon having already passed on before I was even born, who knows what could have been had all four been here today?
I grew up mostly with new wave music in my early youth as an 80's child my memories are also of George…

A truly positive experience receiving an autograph! (Share your best too)

Posted on January 22, 2016 at 4:42pm 23 Comments

I wanted to provide a flip to the discussion asking people for the worse in person experience. This doesn't necessarily have to be in person, as I just had a wonderful example of an artist being extra kind to one of their fans.

Not many people are aware of the group The Swell Season (however they have a cult type following), in fact they aren't even together anymore. They are Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, if you have heard of the movie Once then you have seen…

If you haven't read my pervious blog called God only knows how I met The Beach Boys! You can read about my Meet & Greet here: Meeting Mike Love and Bruce Johnston
