Hi all, I got this autographed card on ebay a while ago, it came from a seller that seems to have a good reputation but I know now that Dick York autographs are scarce so I wonder if this one is a little too good to be true?..any opinions much appreciated!

Hello Alan, I have a couple signed pieces by Dick York and I have exatcly the same one. (Bought last year on Ebay)

It's always hard with York's signature because he didn't always sign in the same way...

Where did you get yours?

Best,

Exactly? Can you show it?

Not "exactly" as it's handsigned obviously but on the same card. See photo of my cardCapture%20d%E2%80%99e%CC%81cran%202020-06-07%20a%CC%80%2011.10.44.png

Hi, thanks for the reply, this is also an ebay purchase although I can't remember the seller name right now.

Alan.

@AlanB: Indeed, you've mentioned that it came from Ebay, I didn't read properly, sorry!

If I remember correctly, it's written on the back of the card the year of 1992 on pencil. (Dick has passed away the same year)

I wanted to send it to PSA in order to be sure of it's authenticity but I live in Paris (France) and the process is a little complicated and costly to send items, certificy them, send them back to me, etc...

Hope this help!

Hi, yes it certainly helps to know there are ones similar to this out there, I live in Australia and have the same issues with sending it PSA and getting it authenticated, even more so now with the coronavirus chaos..maybe one day!

Thanks!

Alan

Yes indeed, it's not easy...

Just in case, I have several signed pieces by Dick York and Agnes Moorehead (Endora in Bewitched) so if you do as well, maybe we can share photos of each other in private message if you want. Let me know!

Thanks Jkay but this one and an Elizabeth Montgomery signed cheque (which I have shown on here) is the extent of my Bewitched collection..at least for now :)

Alan

I see.

I have as well 3 signed cheques from E.Montgomery and 1 from its real husband during Bewitched, William Asher. These are easy to find.

OK so, I am delighted to have been able to exchange with you and I wish you a nice continuation.

Best,

JKay

I have one similar. Is it on thick card stock? I got mine from a seller in the UK. Here is the scan (apologies - it's taken from the ebay listing, hence the type down the center)

Hi, yes it's on card stock rather than paper, maybe they were made for publicity purposes?.
