I agree that it's difficult to see a portion of the signature. However, the "au" looks off to me. Also, the inscription doesn't look right at all. It's spelled "cleers", and the "e"s and "s" don't look right. Compare it to this one:

it does look like the "U" has an extra loop before it goes into the "l".
