Here it is in case the link will be broken sometime. It was listed on Ebay some weeks ago - then thrown out by Ebays guards and now it is back this time with a COA bei Epperson from a different seller. But as one will simple notice - this one is wrong. No idea how one could write a COA for this one.

Over the last 2 years several fakes with that special characteristics were offered on Ebay (and off Ebay if you ask the sellers for more). All allegially signed by Paul at LIPA events that take place in July of each year. Mostly Beatles albums... They all look the same.

When this one appeared firstly the story was the same... If you look how Paul enters the building and you have seen those autographs you know how they look. I only heard and saw one true story that fans were "allowed to give a couple of items in". His security Mark Hamilton collected a couple of items and it is hard to be collected...

For you who love to own a Paul signed album - beware of anything like this.

I believe he is violating ebay policy by simply not showing the COA. I know i have gotten a few items taken down before and told i needed to show the psa cert card, which i did and relisted. Im surprised they havent made him show the COA. It may not even exist

I think it was 2013 and there was a video on youtube that they collected the items at the entrance where Paul normally arrives and leaves. I dont find it anymore only a shorter one

But it seems (i heard those stories from the US aswell) that the fans had to write their name and birthdate on the cover to avoid later sales of the autographs. Other items werent picked.

As far as I heard - at least from my own experiences in earlier years when he took items inside - he wrote his usual short name PaulMc...

compare that video with the previous years and you see the same faces.

I have to add - I haven`t heard from previous years that they took items inside the LIPA but surely this doesn`t mean it never happend in the last years. But nevertheless - all items on ebay that allegially were signed at this occasion were false.

My experience was in Germany in 2003.

Thank you for this..
See attached a real one that I am delighted to own, signed for me in person, 2012 London

...I'm no expert, but actually I don't see much difference between my real one and this other one .?!

Congrats - great one.... I am always looking for this as I have Ringo on Pepper.

thank you.. for my interest, what are the features of the signed Pepper you attached that make it look not genuine ??

I don`t want to give the fakers advice to do it right the next time - if you compare it with yours you will notice it, don`t you?

Perhaps the writer of the COA should explain why he thinks it is genuine. I have double checked my opinion with other fans and experts in the US and Germany and they all agree with me.

Can you tell me exactly where and when it was signed - and a bit of the story of the signing? it seems Paul wasn`t in great hurry to sign for you...

sure, I have written about this in the past here. It was 26 july 2012, the day before the Opening Ceremony at London Olympics.  He came out of his office in London alone, carrying a big bag over his shoulder. Because of this he indicated he could not sign for me. There were no fans/collectors there. I did not complain or hassle him. We had a brief chat as he walked to the car -re the Olympics, and I told him I was going to the Opening Ceremony with my wife and 2 small children, and that they were looking forward to seeing him perform.  He said, 'well I hope we put on a good show!' and got in the back seat of his car. After a few moments, the window rolled down and he motioned me over, saying 'I can do it now'. I showed my appreciation and he said,' well you were very respectful'. I passed him the LP and he signed it ! what a man!  Good signature I think, still not as complete though as earlier year examples

thanks - are you autograph collector or Beatles fan?

Yes that is how he signs since the late 90ies - McCartney is shortend.

.. I'm a Beatles/Mccartney fan and a somewhat casual autograph collector as a hobby- I have a number of Paul's- not for sale

would love to see more photos for my files.

Thanks.
