Has anyone seen the recent pawn stars episode that showed some guy trying to sell a terrible forged "lost poem" from jimi hendrix, Drew from aaunlimited.com examined it and almost immediatley deemed it not genuine

At first glance of it,i was in histerics   its the worst hendrix forge i had ever seen, the guy said he got it from jimis family....riki hendrix?   what a bs story

It was even funnier listening to the pawn stars owner give a history on jimi, saying he played the star spangled banner with his teeth at woodstock,...This guy needs to read some books and watch some dvds on jimi

atleast he knew enough to call a expert in,  its my opinion that aaunlimited is a good authenticator,as well as roger epperson,jsa,psa/dna,ama authentication

It would have been funny if christopher morales showed up to examine the forged hendrix poem on pawn stars,he would have probabley said it was genuine

Who ever forged it should get a job at autographs america, autograph central or pop culture signatures   im sure they can use another terrible forger(not that there are any good forgers out there,)

The show also showed Bob Dylan signing a album for chumlee and has had a few other autographs that were real(except for the fake hendrix poem)

I got news for you. Drew Max and Christopher Morales are both friends of the forgery sellers. Morales is just more prolific.
I didnt know that,so your saying that he is on the same level... I havent read anything about him
Yes...they're very much the same. AAU just isn't as well known.

wow, well AAU is well known now due to Pawn Stars,i thought and he seemed like a knowledgeable legit authenticator. It was just my opinion,i never had anything examined by them,i mainley use roger epperson(the best and nicest guy) ama(jack devarona) jeff gold,psa/dna and myself and other collectors such as yourself,s opinion.

Anyway,if you seen that episode of pawn stars, you must agree that was one of the worst jecrix forges ever

I saw that too.  I know virtually nothing about Hendrix's signature, but I almost laughed when I saw it.  Phony as hell.  I can't believe Rick even needed an""expert" to verify this was crap.

Rick doesnt seem to know alot about jimi, saying he played the star spangled banner with his teeth at woodstock,he played the end of voodoo chile slight return with his teeth and about 1 minute later he started the star spangled banner. Also  that idiot who tried to sell it saying he worked with rikki hendrix, what a bull story, who is rikki hendrix, what does he do play bobaloo with his teeth

what an idiot   i hope he reads this    signed rikki hendrix 1969

Yeah - I think this whole thing was largely staged.  Not that Rick has a stranglehold on Jimi stuff, but he has to have seen his share of autographs come his way.    I think he gave that guy too much of his time.
Didn't want to start a new thread, but did anyone see last night's episode with the Babe Ruth auto?  Again, they brought in Drew who said it was real.  Said the inscription was added by someone else.  Wondering what some of the experts here thought of the sig.

I'll bet Rick lowballed the hell out of it.

Drew said it was worth 2000-2500.  Rick offered 1000, come to think of it, can't remember whether they made a deal or the price.

Rick owns a pawn shop, of course he is going to low ball.  Why anyone would bring a high end collectible to a pawn shop is beyond me.

I'm surprised he offered 4 figures ;)
He had the confidence of Drew Max's expertise. Oye.
