With a lot of high profile autobiographies out at the moment what do you think of presigned limited edition books....are these hand signed or autopen...and how can you ever know.

There is a company that publishes high quality leather bound editions of not only autobiographies but fiction etc of "famous" people.  The ones I have seen appear genuine and this particular company (whose name escapes me but check Amazon) would lose big time if proven any bogus.  It would effectively kill their business.  So I personally think they are "safe" but you might want to check Ebay for one of Jimmy Carter or Clinton's books and find the same book then check to see if the autograph is identical.  If it was an autopen they should be exactly the same.  The only problem I see is in my opinion the books are not worth it for a short term investment.  It is pretty much top dollar. Easton Press that is the name of the company.   Maybe others here have had dealings with them and can tell if they are legitimate.

Easton Press is a-ok.

Yes I just did some comparisons on Ebay of Easton and they are all good.  Still think a bit overpriced unless buying for sentimental reasons, which is what I do, rather than to sell.
