Prince

When did he stop signing? I've read conflicting reports. Some say he stopped signing certain albums others say he stopped entirely but the year he stopped signing changes depending on who you ask. When searching for a Prince item I'd like to know when he did stop officially so I can rule out certain items on my own.

Seen very few autograph after 1988 so I believe he stopped signing his name or initial around 1990. Then, he signed with his symbol for a few years. So anything signed after that is most likely a fake (unless a contract, check, or perhaps a note to an employee)

Thanks. Man so he was only signing for around 10 years. I get the feeling he would've been just as happy playing music and not having the fame at all. He seemed a bit repulsed by his early work the older he got.
