Prince signatures sold on RR Auctions for recordbreaking money...

Last week 2 real signatures were sold by RR Auctions.
The signatures were from the 1988-08-31 - World of Music, Hamburg signing.
Just Prince, Sheila E and Cat. All signed with a gold pen.
The signing was cut short after only 15 minutes due 2 security reasons.

The Purple Rain album sold for 30.559 dollars
The 1999 album sold for 9.625 dollars

So Princes for Prince signatures have reached a new level...

Strong prices! But a Purple Rain signed by Prince and 2 members of the Revolution sold for $73,699 in January 2022:

I know.

But that one is 100% fake in my opinion.

Elfar, do you want to post a discussion on the $73K one and make your case?

I have a LOT of pictures of real Prince signatures over the years.
Starting from the early ones in 1978 and up to the last ones in 1995 that he signed in public.
I also have a few signatures that he did on legal papers after 95.
And my opinion after comparing the Purple Rain sold by RR Auction to the ones
i have in my collection is that all three signatures are fake.
So someone paid 73.000 dollars for a fake signature.
Very unfortunate that it was authorized.
But then again. That same person has authorized a few
Prince signatures before that have been fake as well in my opinion.

So this is a pretty tough business.
