wanted to ask your advice on something I got a strat pickguard signed by my favorite band and I didn't notice they come with two layers of that clear plastic over it. I hope you know what I mean.
I removed the first layer but forgot the second so the signatures are on the scratchplastic that is over the pickguard. and not the pickguard it's self ( I could peel the signatures off if I wanted to it's like a clear sticker to keep the guard from getting scratched)
Is there anyway to preserve it/keep it safe? I don't ever intend on selling it I just don't want that plastic to break down

thanks

Are you sure there was 2 layers of plastic? I've only seen 1 layer.

Im sure there are two layers on these type ive been using there from china. I was able to pull up the corner on this one so I know it's still on the plastic. (very hard to tell) the 2nd layer on these ones is very clear the first is obvious with barcodes or whatever from the factory butthere has been a second layer on all the $5 china pickguards ive used. I just normally am smart enough to remove both layers
