I have this Guitar signed by apx 30 country artists from the 1997 CMA Awards, JSA came back and said they didn't believe it to be authentic, however I question this because they said that the "Mark Wills" signature on it wasn't legit but....Mark Wills never even signed it! Has anyone out there ever had an item reviewed by JSA or PSA/DNA come back as not legit when others said it was or you knew it was because you got your item signed in person yourself? Here are some photos of the guitar, Here is a list of some of the signatures on it, Johnny Cash, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Merle Haggard, The Judds, Charlie Daniels, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Bryan White, Deana Carter, Willie Nelson, Clint Black, George Jones, Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Lorrie Morgan, James Bonomy, John Michael Montgomery, Tracy Lawrence, Leann Rimes , I would value anyones opinion as to what they think of the signatures, I didn't get them in person but a lot of them I have compared to ones I have gotten in person on other items are spot on matches. Thanks Everyone!
PS, If you feel that you see a signature(s) doesn't look legit, please let me know your reasoning so I can learn more about this item. I wont be upset, I value your honest opinions and observations>

I`am not a expert but the Johnny Cash signature looks off, but others will chime in with their opinions.
I agree Tony that the Garth is close, but very rarely have i ever seen Garth sign in straight lines. His signatures are most always at angles. But in this one, the Garth is signed in perfectly straight lines. Both the God Bless, and the Garth. The signature is also very small and scrunched for a Garth. But this could always be authentic, and i have seen a few that are signed straight across the middle. Its just a very odd way for Garth to sign, his signatures are almost always bigger and at an angle. And when Garth signs guitars, typically his signature is large, and almost always at an angle.
PSA/DNA & JSA and the other third party authentication companies are self proclaimed "experts" Ask them what their qualifications are to authenticate autographs are? James Spence said one time that he took a mail order course. Steve Grad who used to be the head authenticator at PSA is a total moron who was kicked out of a National Sports Collectors Convention for selling fake autographs. As far as your guitar goes the only autograph that I have any knowledge on is the Merle Haggard as I worked for him for a while selling merchandise and your Hag signature looks to be 100% good to me.
I totally agree with you about TPA. Over-rated and over-priced. You might just as well send your autograph to Stevie Wonder for authentication.
100% right. Check out a website called www.haulsofshame.com
Thanks, I know about it. You have to give them credit for making a TON of money from bamboozling the public.
I remember seeing Steve Grad on pawn stars trying to sell his autographed star wars collection to Rick Harrison for stupid money. Isn't it a conflict of interest to authenticate something and then sell it? Seems to me it would be.
I agree. I especially like the stories about people who get an in-person signature and then PAY a TPA so it can sell easier and at a higher price, only to have it rejected as not authentic! Unreal.
I have said for years that these companies should be referred to as opinionators and NOT authenticators. After all it is just their opinion that they are rendering. Just because they say it is authentic or not authentic doesn't necessarily make it so. Now days there is a saying "It doesn't have to be authentic, just authenticated" Ask any of them what their training or qualifications are to render these high price opinions. I had a John Wayne on an album page and Elvis Presley on a Hilton Hotel menu at Hollywood Park casino a few years ago at a show and a customer asked me if he could have PSA look at them (they were there) and of course I said yes. He brought them back to me and said Steve Grad said he couldn't authenticate them because he didn't have any examplars to compare them to. HUH?
