Hi,

I was looking out for Queen autographs and I came to this Website:

http://www.queenautographs.info/

there was a link to this web store

http://www.rareandsigned.com/?page=shop/browse&offset=20&fs...=

they are telling that These are authentic signatures - can I trust them?

thanks in advance

Martin

I wouldn't.
Imo both sites are operated by the same people.

My gut instinct is not to deal with this particular website as I'm not sure I am convinced by the materials that they sell, in regards to Queen anyway - that's just my opinion. I could very well be wrong but I personally wouldn't feel comfortable buying from them, based on some of the items being offered. Also, Freddie Mercury is very tough to get authentically now and I read that in their lifetime, Queen didn't sign many autographs. I think if you want a genuine Queen autograph or a set, you're going to have to dig rather deep. I'm also not aware, like The Beatles, if they are memorabilia specific sites where you can buy Queen items and have total piece of mind, in that respect.

Cheers,

Robin

well, I have some authentic Queen signatures - but without Freddy.... looking for Freddy since years.

here are my items from my collection:

Made In Heaven The Lyrics book, autographed by Brian May - Roger Taylor - Jim Beach (manager of Queen) and Montserrat Caballé. This book was signed on Nov 25th 1996 when the full-sized Freddie Mercury statue was finally unveiled in Montreux, on the shore of lake Geneva

JAZZ 1978 Vinyl LP signed by Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon on September 22, 1984 after concert in Hannover / Europahalle. Freddy´s signature is missing as he was hospitalized after the concert because of an stage incident where he hurts is foot.

Haha... http://www.rareandsigned.com/?page=shop/flypage&product_id=164850
...all four oft Pink Floyd!
Only Gilmour was present this day!

ok.... :-)

Shame you couldn't get Freddy Mercury as that would have been a holy grail of autographs! To get his in authentic form could prove to be tough - you'd need to go through a music specialist for Queen - I know some exist for The Beatles but Queen, I am not so hot on. Good luck, though.

I know..... in fact it is much more easier today to collect Queen forgeries instead of authentic signatures - LoL

I'd love an authentic Mercury - but I wouldn't have the first clue where to start looking. I'm sure there are some out there.

Hi guys!

To my understanding "rareandsigned" is one of the worst when it comes to selling fakes. At least is that what I have heard so I would stay far away from their items...

If you're interested, here's a link to my photos with a 100% genuine Freddie Mercury autograph in very good condition: http://live.autographmagazine.com/photo/photo/listForContributor?sc...

Take a look if you like! :-)

Jan, that's a real nice Mercury! Did you get that IP or did you buy it from a dealer/specialist? You are SO lucky! Lovely investment for future potential as well.... Congratulations! I am SO,SO,SO,SO Jealous.

I really want one of the more prominent musical figures, I really want a Mercury or a Lennon. Sadly, there's an obstacle.... money!

Great autographed presentation!

Thank you Robin for your nice words, I'm really glad you liked it!

I bought this from AML member Innuendo (then called Queen Buff) and it was a friend if his who got this around 1985. I think it's a really good example of his signature with a nice "Best whishes" inscription as a bonus!

If you like the big names in music, maybe you'll like my Elvis Presley too? Here's a link:

You have some EXCEPTIONAL music memorabilia there Jan - congrats! I'd really love a John Lennon autograph, one day. However, I'd need a bit of dough before I can do that.

Or failing that, a complete set of Beatles autographs - though I think I'd need to trade in my entire autograph collection to even consider making a purchase of that magnitude.
