So there you have it, AFTAL have

1  Issued a Statement saying the Adrian collected / distributed Jackson autographs are 100% authentic

2  Reviewed DVD and photographic proof and any allegations against Adrians signed Jacksons are untrue

3  Photo / Video proof is available but was not shown at the Autografica show

4   They dont want to talk about it anymore

Well as I said previously, Iam being careful what I state here, but Im absolutely astounded and shocked

I feel I have to speak up here for all the good AFTAL dealers that are, seemingly, being tarnished with the same brush.

Please let it be known when anything is decided or posted by AFTAL it represents the opinions of the organisations "board members" ONLY. Anyone not on the board has pretty much zero input into any situation such as this and most probably still know absolutely nothing about it

Can I also state that I believe the current AFTAL board actually only consists of 3 or 4 members. I believe this isnt supposed to be common knowledge as the s##t has really hit the fan within the board. So its very wrong to judge a good number of dealers associated with the organisation on the opinions of the board members

Hi roger , I believe and I am 99% sure Gary is not allowed to speak out till a complete board meeting has come to and agreed with what should happen next.

To be honest I was politely asked not to debate too , But I am not on the board and also I was Jason Thanos before AFTAL or any organisation, I just felt since I am the only person thats not scared to get in the mud for the rest of the good guys I would do it,.

Look I know and am sure no one on here has any problems with me or even 95% of Aftal but at times because of this name it looks like it .

Why do you think I also want this to be resolved as I am not happy with been put into the mix , and not just me but the majority of the aftal dealers that have not done nothing wrong, I can even tell you that there are aftal dealers that dont even know about all this , Am serious they dont have a clue .

They are your basic dealers that buy and sell but no need to be anything more, at times this is best way I guess till they find themselfs in one of this debates by their stock control. As anyone who buys at one point or another will come under fire , Dont matter if you are Aftal , Uacc , Psa or what ever else is out there.

To be honest even In person's come under fire , And Like I said before there is nothing wrong with some one asking a question as long as there is an answer that will defuse the problem and make it clear. Unfortunetly it seems this has not happened here yet and so this Soap Opera is carrying on.

People need to understand that only the aftal dealers have authority to do or say something it is not the dealers that just pay a fee and believe in a better safer cause.

Also needed to clerify something as was send some weird emails lol

I have never ever said the items are fake or were faked by anyone in question I have said why has no one ever mentioned like me and gary said that there is a chance some one else is involved like a buttler or security etc ..

I have only come on here to defend the cause and maybe the 95% of aftal people who have no voice and also came to say that Gary King is not all that bad.

If it turns out down the road that the jackos were bad all he did is what millions do everyday bought and sold , But I know 100% he would refund anyone in a heartbeat as he is one of the good guys.

Its not like he bought stacks of them anyway he only purchased half a dozen so its not really a big deal for him or anyone like him as anyone can cope with loosing 2 or 3 grand.

Guys the bigger picture here is people who buy are open to f*** ups because they have to trust a 2nd and 3rd party.

So this will never ever go away because there will always people trusting people its just how it is.

My feet are f***** from the hours I put in the cold and the rains my eyes flicker at times etc Not everyone is willing or is mad enough to do the In person s*** we do , Its easier to try and buy from some one and make money on top of that. so this is what people are doing its less hustle or maybe not if you end been on here.

I honestly think if everyone relaxes a little am hopping that before friday evening we will have some news as I and many other people will walk away from Aftal as it is getting to silly now.

There you go I said it I am ready to walk , But I want to make this work because we need an Aftal in the UK otherwise every one is gonna run free and wont have anyone to be afraid of.

Thanks for the update, let me say I know quite a few AFTAL dealers and I am very friendly with most of them, same goes for my UACC buddies

There are many Good Dealers here in UK, so lets not tar anyone with the same brush, mistakes can be made as most dealers rely on their 'In Person ' sources when purchasing from collectors.

Im suprised to read that any statement issued by AFTAL is only the opinion of Board members and not the Whole membership.

Do they hold Annual meetings or postal elections etc ?.... when they elect Board members and vote on their awards such as 'In Person Collector of the Year'

The info your supplying is quite shocking really...isnt it ?

Rick, im finding out more and more about AFTAL in every message relayed on here. Im quite shocked

Jason has been more braver than me with his statements as he knows more about AFTAL than me

But from what im reading on here today .....

Can I ask

Does the board elects itself, without any kind of vote ?

Does the same Board pass judgements upon items where authenticity is raised ?

Has a member of the board has distributed some of the items that Authenticity is being questioned about ?

What ?

Can anyone answer ?

Yes,  This thread is about questionable items ( it started with an Eastwood item ) that are / were being offered by Garry King.

Garry did remove some items.  However, there have been more questions raised about his McCartney autographs. I haven't seen any reply regarding those.

It appears that this club's board will black list members who speak out or have differing opinions.

Brandon, i dont know if they black list anyone for comments on here, but I was told by a few members that they were not prepared to comment in case of reprisals ?

So it started with Eastwood and moved onto Jackson and McCartney. I have not seen anything on the Maccas tho, so I cant comment

Its stange that the silence is actually deafening !

I believe the Eastwood was taken down by Garry, however Garry futher indicated that the "jury was still out on it's authenticity" (my words, not Garry).
