I had some questions for the community about my John Lennon White Album autographed

photograph.

I'm going to get in touch with Frank Caiazzo and see if he did the Loa on this Lennon autographed  picture.

Assuming he did and it's authentic: Does the rushed Lennon signature negatively effect the value of the piece?  Since it's signed on a photo of Lennon from The White Album, would I have any trouble reselling for more than the money I spent on it, eg; will it appreciate in value over the years?  The seller is asking $4, 750.00 for it.  Is it worth the money he is asking for it or should I wait for something better? If I wait, what Lennon item could I buy

for this money?

Thanks for your input.

Make sure it's the real deal. You know...you have to be very careful with all the signed photos...records...etc. If you were LUCKY enough to run into any of The Beatles...and lucky enough to get an autograph...it wasn't on a photo...or and album cover...or any of that stuff. It was probably on a napkin...a matchbook cover...a blank check...or even a dollar bill.Fans were not running around with LP covers and the like hoping to get them signed. It's only since the advent of the rock 'n'roll auctions in the early 80's...and Lennon's death that the memorabilia market has taken off. When prices for this stuff starting taking off...then the forgers started coming out of the woodwork. Lots of the Lennon signed photos and legit signed albums  that are out there for sale were signed in Philly in May of 1975. Radio station WFIL had their annual "Helping Hands" benefit to raise money for local charities. Lennon spent the whole week end at the station helping to raise money...taking phone calls...playing oldies...and going outside to sign autographs for a donation. Beware of all the signed photos and album covers.

Jim,

Thanks! You make some great points. First and foremost, I will make sure the item is real.

A good friend of mine does not like this autograph even if it's real because the signature

is only a partial one, was rushed and done on the fly. He thinks I  should wait for a better

signature. The seller is asking $4,757.00 for it.  I'm thinking I may never see a better singed

Lennon picture like this again for this money. I'm not sure if that's true or not.

I have to make a decision soon.  What do you think?

I agree. Thanks for that information. I found that artiicle from Frank online and read it. So, it sounds

like the sellers price is about right then. The prices on the cut items I see on Amazon and eBay

for a Lennon are much higher than $2,500.00.  They start around $3,500.00 these days.

One question I had for you was does the fact that my Lennon signature is rushed mean that it's worth

less money than a better example? If so, how much less?

Thanks

Gone up?....they haven't stopped. Because of their value...they are THE most forged sigs on the market...the others being Elvis and Babe Ruth. I've read that since 2000...Lennon signatures have gone up over 700 %.

The mans been gone since 1980...he was the leader of the biggest band the world has ever seen or will see...

He was cut down as he was making a comeback...he's not signing anymore...what's out there...is out there.

If you've got something that was signed...written...touched...owned...used...or worn by John Lennon...you really can't go wrong. I

He was bloody huge. I was one when he was shot. I can't believe they had the fbi onto him shows how much influence he carried.
My neighbour's once called the police on me because I purchased all the Beatles albums and played them to death. They were van Halen fans.
I love Van Halen. They are one of my very favorite bands of all-time, but NO ONE BEATS THE BEATLES!

In fact...his autograph can be the cheapest...probably the only cheap...in the world of Lennon memorabilia...as I said...you want one?...you're going to have to pay for it...

It hurt my pocket when I got my Lennon autographs.
As in plural? Paul, I am officially jealous of you! Once I pay off my JFK signed book, I have to start saving for a Lennon autograph. If I can't make it to John territory, I will get a Paul. But John would be the ultimate.

In the world of Lennon...

His painted Rolls-$2,290,000 US....

His tooth-$31,000 US...

Day In The Life LYRICS-$1,202,000 US...

All You Need Is Love LYRICS-$1,000,000 US...

Give Peace A Chance LYRICS-$833,000 US

Imagine piano-$2,100,000 US

His toilet from Tittenhurst-$15,000 US

A pair of his jeans from the 1970's-$9,500 US....

The man doesn't come cheap!!!

The crazy owner wants to clone john lennon he may come back as Justin Bieber he better just leave it alone.

One of the boys on forum waited 4 hours to get Lennon in nyc
