Does anyone have experience with getting tape residue discoloring removed from paper without doing more damage? The residue is on the back side of the paper but has absorbed through to the front side of the paper. The paper is approx. 50 years old. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank-you.

I doubt you can really do anything without having the paper restored/repaired. From what it sounds like, the chemicals in the tape residue caused acid damage on the paper.

Thank-you. Has anyone used this type of service and had a satisfying experience?

Generally, such restorations are reserved for high priced art, as the process is extremely pricey.
