RICHARD LYNCH (1940-2012) played villains, psychopaths, and monsters for most of his career. One of his first major films was Scarecrow, starring Gene Hackman and Al Pacino in 1973. In 1979, Lynch starred with E. G. Marshall, Jessica Walter, and Jason Miller in an effective made-for-television horror movie, Vampire. My favorite of his movies was Alcatraz: The Whole Shocking Story (1980) with Art Carney, Telly Savalas, and Michael Beck. Lynch worked in television shows such as Murder, She Wrote, The A-Team, Matt Houston, and many others.
