bump - Any opinions are appreciated. I generally expect signed checks to be authentic unless there is another known authorized signer. However, I would feel better if anyone could offer reassurance.
bump - Hoping for confirmation that these are authentic signed checks. I am pretty confident but not familiar with signing habits of the Ringling Brothers. Thank you in advance.
beardog1, Up front the Ringling Brothers are not in my collection. After looking on the net in for sale and sold, In my humble opinion your checks are real…..also saw this.
Hi again David. Thanks for checking the net and sharing your opinion. I was pretty confident since I believe checks were sometimes filled out by another hand but always signed authentically. I always feel better with a positive second opinion.
I am not specifically a Ringling collector but had been trying to collect checks from the five brothers. It appears Otto is the most scarce followed by John (both missing from my collection but no longer on my mission to find them). I love the John Ringling signed item you posted. Hard to believe these items are from 100 years ago.
