Authentic or not?
you guys are both very good with Beatles autographs. Do you have or have you seen other examples with the "n" formed like this? and the pen pressure on the star seems strange. it could be authentic, but I don't consider it a nice, typical example.
I appreciate all of your opinions--my mother-in-law recently inherited a large collection of autographs from her son who passed away. I am trying to help her in finding someone to appraise and potentially sell the collection because there is so much she cannot even store it all and I am fearful of having someone take advantage of her. I didn't know where to start, and someone on this site recommended I start by getting some input on specific pieces. I personally am fairly comfortable they are all authentic, but I am obviously not an expert. He collected for himself only--I am fairly sure he never sold anything. And I think he preferred to have them personalized because a lot of what he has have inscriptions to him (like Stevie Nicks, Janet Leigh, Gregory Peck, Dave Brubeck--). Although this one is not inscribed to him, it is on a magazine with his mailing label on it, so I know he did not buy it from someone--it is one he got himself. Whether in person or through the mail, I don't know. But I appreciate any input and opinions. Assuming it IS authentic, any idea on a value? Thanks--
I would put the value at 300-350. that is a nice collection.
