Ringo auto...good or bad

I was discussing autographs with a friend out in CA.  He latched onto a RIngo auto back in the early 1990s.  This is what he sent.  Good?  He's still looking for the COA.  He had a fire a number of years ago and not everything survived....luckily all his autographs were in a safe so they were protected....

He did sign like this for a while in the 90's (with a star after his first name) but I do not think that this is genuine.
