So I bought 3 books, 2 from Barnes and 1 from I think this is from when I signed up for his Zoom Q&A, I preordered 1 from them…So I think the latter is the real and the 2 from Barnes are the fakes…I received an email today from Barnes stating the fact that some were signed with an auto pen and they can’t tell the which is which, so they offered a $5 coupon off of my next book purchase lmao

Here is the 2 from Barnes

Mine from BAM

That’s crazy, I’m so po’d this happened…this is the other one from BaN, it’s prob fake also…I just sent Robby a tweet, ahh he won’t give a shite, he got his money upfront…It’s water under the bridge for him…

Mine from Books-A-Million.

Does he have multiple auto pens to speed up the process, or do they do this to make it seem like they are legit?  This is like a scam, false advertising, I sent an email to B&N and asked if I can exchange them or just return them, they said they are out of copies and to return them…So that’s that I guess…So I will return both copies back to B&N…

Good question.. im not familiar with an autopen machine setup but I searched quickly and what I found is, these machines are slow. At least slower than signing your own signature. It makes sense to have multiple. Ive also just seen machines that toss the signed paper to the side to sign the next one underneath. Meaning the machine can run a long time if there is enough paper loaded. But after watching the link ill post below, this machine needs a loaded signature card. I would think there would be more cost involved for multiple signature cards with different signatures.. its probably a mix of both, for speed and to try and trick people into thinking different variations means its real. Honestly though my opinion doesn't change. A scam is a scam and using an autopen with just 1 signature is already a scam. If someone uses multiple signatures, that just means they scam while thinking their fanbase is just really stupid as well

Agreed!! I did a deep dive myself and read that people do have multiple machines with different signatures to make it harder to detect…So yes a scam is a scam, and this certainly was Robbie and his cohorts taking the easy way out and assuming his fans either wouldn’t care, or are stupid, which obviously he was wrong on both…I hope everyone makes it known that they are not happy about being duped and return their books…I want to see what Robby has to say about this, if anything at all…

One more thing to consider-someone posted elsewhere they thought these were copies, not necessarily autopenned.  That would speed this process up significantly and the quality of copies is high.

Sean, It seems like BN is being nice. Talkshoplive is who I purchased from and they won’t refund.

Open a dispute with the cc used

Post it on there facebook page let everyone know they sell fake signatures and won't refund
