I would say the vast majority of the time he has replied to me within 1/2 - 1 day. However there has been the odd occasion when it has taken longer (2 - 3 days), from recollection these longer timeframes are usually when the piece in question is possibly a little more tricky and might require a little more analysis.
Not sure your comment 'active member' is quite true, yes he has posted in the past year but it is few and far between.

Thanks Nate. I guess I'll try to be considerate since it is the holidays and maybe he is spending time with families. But I will give him a few more days to at least acknowledge my email. Tick Tock.

He has responded to me within an hour or so. This is New Years! Give him a a chance! His word is of great value!

Very good experience, I asked  him in summer for a QO and received his answer within one hour,  was a very nice and profound dialog...

I have always received a quick reply from him. I greatly respect his opinion and he is the person I check with when I am looking at music related autographs. He has always been very helpful.

Given NYE/NY, followed by the weekend, one business day from Wed 30 Dec would be Mon 4 Jan. Just how I'd personally view it.
