I received this in the mail today!

I don’t remember ordering it, but then again,

I tend to forget about pre-orders because I drop money down, hope for the best, then I move on.

Looks great! At least your autograph is a little further apart. ;-)

Can anyone explain why signed cards are now so dominant instead of the actual CD cover??  I like signed CD covers so much better.  Artists that send out cards used to sign CD covers on pre-orders.  Even Newbury's last 2 George Bensons were art cards!  Why the change?

As someone who just ordered two signed Sting CD's this week - his autograph being on an "art card" in a sweet gold pen - Steve, I was actually asking myself that same question, "Why sign a card and not the actual CD cover?" I really think it probably just has to do with logistics - it's probably cheaper and easier to get the cards to the artists (as well, gives them long lead times).. while they manufacture and produce the CD at the same time.. Then, they can easily just bring the two together and package it up. That would be my guess.
