I recently picked up this ball but am unable to identify the signature at the top, the one above Bill Caudill. The ball dated from September 1979 since Steve Davis is on it. He was with the team for a week that month for his only major league service time. I pulled up the roster from that year on baseball reference but I am still unable to match the signature to anyone. Does anybody have an idea who it may be? I tried to get a clearer image but the ink is bleeding into the ball and this is the best one that I am able to get. Thank you.
