Tommy Lasorda - I have heard that he refuses to sign baseball bats, either in-person, TTM or even at paid signings. Don't waste your time trying to get him to sign one!
Trevor Hoffman - Will always personalize your item to you (or whatever name you give him), including baseballs. The exceptions are sports cards or composite photos with other players on them, which he will not usually personalize unless requested. The same holds true TTM.
trevor hoffman, this has become true of trevor hoffman he does personalize all his items but he is cool, he actually signed for everyone while in town in minnesota, the next day he came out and picked out an autographer to ask a question to, it was me, knowing that he has done this in the past, i had all the capitals of every state written down, cause thats the question he usually asks, he said this to me turn this into 950 and wrote 101010. he gave me 2 minutes. see if you can figure it out in 2 minutes, he also said i can only use one line. the answer is 101010. you simply cross the second 1 and it turns into a t, which makes 10t010.
What???
yup if ever get a chance to and he is going to ask you a question, have a trick question planned and ready to go, he likes it when people turn the tables on him, if he gest it wrong he will sign for everyone
Ken Griffey Jr. - You have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than getting Griffey in-person! Same holds true TTM...
Many soccer stars dont sign at all....J.Terry doesnt sign photos, Bobby Charlton is not very autograph friendly, carragher is very selective who he signs for etc etc
Tim Lincecum- does NOT sign on days that he pitches.
Thanks, Tim. I think this is true for most pitchers, though. For some reason I think word has gotten around the league that your performance on pitching day will be dramatically reduced by picking up a pen and signing a few autographs beforehand! There are some who will sign on their pitching day, but as a general rule of thumb most collectors know not to ask on these days...
