Good or a good forgery?  I know Walls of Fame (Billy Smith) does not have the best reputation on this site but all of his stuff can't be bad -- can it?

thanks Bruce - I have a very bad photo of him signing this somehwer

That is a great one!! :) And again we can see the huge differences in Bruce`s signings, in different periods, and even differences in the same periods. (Bruce is a very moody person, so he can sign with some differences from day to day too..lol)

Thanks Trond!

Here is another authentic "Greatest Hits" (Epperson / RR Auction).  VERY similar to Mark Roberts one and slightly different than the Walls of Fame one. Walls of Fame one has a small "r" in the last name and the loop after the "N" in Springsteen going the reverse way when it crosses the "T"  -- Most Walls of Fame autographs look like this and one of the reasons I'm confident it's a fake.  There are other reasons but I don't want to give forgers ways to correct their mistakes.

Well, here is mine from 2003, with both Epperson, and RR Auction COA, and it has the loop in the N more like the one starting this thread. This one still has the loop like yours. but just very slightly, but I have seen a lot of real Springsteen sigs where the loop/not loop is quite similar to the thread-starter.

Or look at this one, also Epperson and RR COA. Very close to the one starting the thread.

An Update:  The original "Greatest Hits" (Walls of Fame) that started this post did not get any bids at the opening price of $349.  Don't you think if it was real SOMEONE would have bought it at that price?  I've seen worse albums sell for 400-800 with much more rushed signatures.  The proof is in the pudding. FAKE!

That don`t prove anything, if gold doesn`t sell, it`s still gold, till somebody have proven it`s not.  The sale/not sale do not say anything in itself. :)  I am even more sure it`s real after studying some more confirmed ones very similar to this one.

Come on guys, the one at the start of this thread is not authentic.  It's such an obvious one from WOF.  The Boss doesn't write "Thanks" like that ever, that is not his handwriting style.  There are many other tells as I have seen over 50 of these and got burned by him myself years ago.  I do have to say though of the things I did send back he refunded every one of them.  So if you have some of this crap you probably will get a refund.

YUP - Been there ,done that with the WOF Springsteen!

Mark

If he refunded your money you didn't get burned Roger.

Totally disagree - I had the signed album on my wall for 7 years or so… I paid for the framing.  And to find out after all this time it was not real.   I would say I got more than burned.
