And being an earlier style of signature (pre-1990) was the reason why a date of the con would lend towards authenticity by its chronological relevance to style, as I can't tell which comic this is and am unable to date it without the title and number present. If the seller were to say, "Stan signed this is 2014", then based on the signature, we wouldn't even have to go any further than that to cry foul. lol
