Just wondering what people's thoughts are on this 8x10? I'm pretty sure it's authentic, but I'm looking at it more from an aesthetic and value perspective. Would you pay £295 ($385 US) for this? The reason I'm asking is now that Kenny Baker is gone, and I haven't collected anyone from the original Star Wars yet, I thought this would be a good place to start? I have the chance to see Mark Hamill and pay another $185 CDN to have him put his graph on it next month at the FanExpo.
My biggest reservation is the size at only 8x10.
Does anyone have something similar for sale that's larger with at least Kenny's graph on it?
Thanks!

It's not something I would buy for a few reasons, first it's not an official image (that I know of), it's probably something fan made. Second, it has a mix of main and insignificant cast members with no real rhyme or reason to it. Third, its already filled up and there's no room to add any of the more significant cast members that you actually want.

It's not something that you will ever get your money back from if you invest in it, but only you can make that decision. If you like it and it speaks to you, then it's not a terrible price considering what each one costs to add now-a-days.

There will be plenty of stuff with Baker on it, he signed autographs for many many years.

That's an awesome reply Mike! Thanks so much for your perspective! You're right about the seven minor names, but the other seven I would consider essential...I would've considered it complete if it had Hamill, James Earl Jones and Harrison Ford (but I'm being realistic and know I'll never get that one! Haha). So in your opinion, what other names would you 'reasonably' expect to see on a poster, and what image would be your ideal one?
Thanks again!

Stick to the main cast, and stick to a particular movie. So for New Hope it would be Hamill, Fisher, Ford, Mayhew, Baker, Daniels and Prowse.

For ESB and ROTJ you'll want to have Frank Oz and possibly Bulloch and Billy Dee Williams depending on which side of the fence you're on (I would add them).

Also for ROTJ you'll want to have McDiarmid.

Then of course you can add George Lucas and John Williams.

Once you go down the path of adding every minor character and stormtrooper you will spend thousands and never finish.

Eating dinner at the moment but Carrie don't look too good.Pete will see this.

It does come from a UACC registered dealer and they've supplied pics of them signing?

This was international VHS package art for Jedi. Hagon, Blake and Chapman were not in Jedi, they are all SW:ANH actors.

The Fisher has been retouched, either by Carrie or someone after the fact.

There is nothing wrong with an 8x10 , I have seen plenty with cast signatures, but as Mike pointed out, sticking with the main cast would be best if you are working on a small item.

If you plan on adding minor characters to a piece....I would suggest a larger item, and if you plan on doing all 3 films on one item.....stick with an image that is fitting for all 3 films.

All great answers, thank you! So in keeping with your opinions, I found this one with just the main actors (Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, David Prowse, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew, Harrison Ford and Anthony Daniels), but some of the graphs don't look entirely legit to me. Thoughts?

That one isn't real.
I figured on that one!

But I'm pretty sure you'd all agree that this one is a fine basic example of what you're talking about? However, in your estimation, what do you think it 'should' sell for?
(It's a 24x36)

This was a Scoreboard QVC / HSN deal. Thousands of them were signed and they retailed for about $400-$500. They pop up on ebay pretty regularly and depending on their condition they would sell for anywhere between $300-$1000. This was before Kenny passed, so expect to pay a premium now.

I was just quickly looking up the story about Scoreboard...it seems they had some problems in the past, especially with their sports related items...but you're convinced this is the real deal?
And you're correct about the premium...they're asking $999!!!

Scoreboard's Star Wars & STar Trek stuff was 100% real. Their problems stemmed from their COAs being swapped to fake items. Had they used some sort of stickering or numbered holograms with COAs matching , they would likely still be in business.....just my opinion.
