I have been collecting Star Wars autographs since 1998.  Not all of my signatures are on Star Wars memorabilia.  For example, when I met Warwick Davis at a comic convention in New York City, I had him sign a Willow photograph.  I also have publicity photos of Sir Alec Guinness and Christopher Lee from the 1970s, and a Natalie Portman signed The Diary of Anne Frank theater poster from her performance on Broadway back in 1998.  My current wish list includes Peter Cushing, Terence Stamp and John Williams.  I am interested in knowing about the collections and wish lists of other members.

OPX was born out of C2 Ventures which started after the first Star Wars Celebration, so yes, Star Wars was where they started and was the main focus of their business until now.

They have since branched out and have secured some off-topic signings, but I don't think the rate they are currently going will be enough to sustain them for any amount of time.  They have only hosted 3 signings since April, and none of them were particularly good.

With Official Pix no longer holding the license for Indy or Star Wars, there is no new licensee yet.....Coolwaters in order to offer these items at retail/online to the public,  has no choice but to stay on the right side of Walt. Every Lucasfilm related item Harrison signs has to be an officially licensed product.

Without a large stock of OP shots sitting in the Coolwaters office, they have to go out there and find licensed material.....old posters, old press stills, old lobby cards....from the USA or elsewhere as long as they are licensed, Mr. Disney can't close him down.

I am guessing that the OPix license going away, caught Derek by surprise as well as the rest of us.

Is it a reasonable expectation to have when there is no current licensee? I wonder how that works legally. Celebrity Authentics doesn't seem to care.  I probably would have rolled the dice this time around too, it's going to be difficult for them to make their money back with that lot.

I still say what a shame this has happened to OPX. Sad times.

But why did they lose the license? (sorry if this has been asked already)

They didn't say, my guess is that Disney revoked it for some reason. It all happened too suddenly for it to be financially related.

Seems a bit strange to a degree to me, but nevertheless, I am sad to see OPX in this situation. I really enjoyed their website, what they had to offer and their overall demeanour.

SO excited for this one, I have not picked up any star wars in a longtime..The last piece I got was a Fisher official pix and my daughter liked it so much she ripped it off!!Ive been lucky to get some nice baseball pieces and turn them for ok profit and keeping the few ive wanted as well!!I got myself a core 4 piece from the Empire strikes back. This came from a NYC grapher his name is Josh and Ive dealt with him before and know a lot of the people he knows. it is tough when you are in the AZ desert and networking so here it is!!Hope everyone likes it and is ok with it!!The edges are blacked out for whatever reason he seems to do that with his photos..

The Harrison part of the Ford graph is unlike anything I have ever seen, but the Ford part is all him....and the other 3 graphs are all right on. Looks like just another inperson rushed & bumped signature from Harrison. As long as you are happy, all I can say is congrats.

Pete, yes Harrison was done at in person at letterman,I've seen quite a few from that time apparently it was a complete sh*t show,I think for what it is and within my budget it's good enough for me...I have photos also with it being signed and there at letterman but also some of the other cast as they were sit down signings on the others.

Very nice piece Tony.  If only Harrison Ford took a little more time to sign it.  Sometimes I think that he does that stuff on purpose.

Just picked up a Peter Cushing and a Alec Guinness.I posted the Guinness a few days ago but here is the Cushing.
