Welcome Hunter, here are some certified examples:
And this example:
Was this a common inscription? This was purchased from Etsy? How much?
This seller has a lot of forgeries. Bowie for $349? Nope.
Thanks again Eric. The majority of this seller's reviews are positive with some having followed up speaking about their 3rd party certifications passing with some being negative and saying the opposite. Hope to get my $ back if forgery was most likely.
Most welcome. I see nothing but very poor forgeries. Start a return. Sorry to bear bad news.
And more :
Thanks, Eric. The magazine one looks rather similar, down to the quote. I see inconsistencies but am unfamiliar with what may be regarded as acceptable variability.
It is usually a bad sign to find such an exact item word for word. Often one is made from the other, copying the inscription to give the right appearance.
I see a lot of forgeries and the seller doesn't have very good reviews. I'd send a scan to ACOA. $10 for a review by about 10 people with a final verdict from Justin Steffman.
A comparison:
Quite different. I'd be concerned. Especially with all those forgeries. I don't think the Michael Jackson is any good either. Bowie, Clapton, Elton, Springsteen, Jagger., another awful Bowie for $249...
To me those are by two different hands, from what I have seen.
The Paul McCartney's are just awful and laughable at $349 - $499....
