Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not.  I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples.   These TTM signatures are not cheap.  You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box.  The question is are they real or not.  Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

thanks

I'm asking how these things can be explained if the two items are in fact secretarials.

Since you are the one that thinks these are authentic, how can you explain this if they are in fact authentic?

Am I mistaken about his signing habits? Are the things that I've described not true of authentic JLL signatures?

I am mailing out 2 photos and a letter to Judith today. Hopefully, all will end well. I will keep you all posted. This has been an incredibly informative discussion. Thanks to Mark Roberts, Steve, Roger and everyone else. Your efforts are very much appreciated,

Have the 2 different PO Boxes been straightened out?  We should be sure evrryone sends to the same one.  Is that 394?

Send to the

PO Box 384  Nesbit. Ms.38651

That is the MOST recent one I used to get mine back.

Perhaps someone, I'll do it if no one else wants to, could send Judith and Jerry Lee three images showing the three major styles of his signature we have discussed here. We could ask how the three seemingly unique styles all come from the same hand. I assume she would say they are all from the hand of JLL as she has contended all along but you never know.

Ballroom, can you upload pictures, side by side, of one of the patterns you noticed. I think it would be easier for people to follow what you are saying. I know it would help me.

I really think that we should back off from her.  She is NEVER going to admit the ones they were sending out where secretarial.  There is just NO way she is going to admit that. Talk about opening a can of worms!

Since our contact with her - we have gotten the REAL thing.  Wasn't that the goal?  And I would hope from this day forward anyone sending items would be getting the real deal.

Just my thoughts -

Mark

These images are all from this discussion. The two on the left are suspected secretarials. I believe that the two on the right have been accepted as being authentic? The one on the top right is a check endorsement that Mark Roberts received. The one on the bottom right is one of the three that Mark recently received.

The check endorsement contains the separate “R” and “Y” in “Jerry.” The signature on the bottom right contains the concatenated “R” and “Y” in “Jerry.” It also contains a combination of both types of “E” in “Lee” - the rounded one and the pointed one.

The back of the check has never been established to be the signature of Mr. Lewis.

And with regards to contacting Judith Lewis why the signatures are different.  She has already said to me, "He Always Signs his autographs. So many that his signatures are different."  So basically what she is saying is he signs them all.

Its up to use to determine what we believe with the facts in front of us.

I consider this case closed.  :)

The endorsed check was not thought in the hand of JLL by most who commented on here. I believe the only samples unanimously agreed upon as authentic ttm are Mark's recent returns and the returns I had right before. I also believe the one I received ttm in 2011 is good.

The other examples are "case closed" to Roger, Mark Roberts and a few others. I am leaning that way as well but any other information we can get on the signature of JLL is interesting to me.

I hear ya  - on the interesting part.  This whole thread has been totally interesting and really cool how EVERYONE came together.  You helped ALOT Chad!
