Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not.  I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples.   These TTM signatures are not cheap.  You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box.  The question is are they real or not.  Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

thanks

Mark

Are you saying the one that Mark Roberts posted a few pages back isn't authentic? It includes a "Killer" inscription.

No I am saying that Killer may be in someone else's hand, just like I got back 2 To Steves from him TTM and they were both written totally differently.   He may just sign his name and nothing else is what I am saying.

I think it was Roger that said a friend of his said that Jerry Lee hates to use the Killer inscription.  But don't hold me to that…

Mark

Lets be clear - Jeffrey said the signature of Jerry Lee was real - not the inscription on "Pop Goes the Country" photo.  And I actually disagree with him on the signature as well.

Mark

I believe Roger was correct in a number of items related to the JLL discussion. I didn't always feel that way but do now. JLL never signing Killer is not one of them. Jerry Lee is fond of the Killer nickname and has signed on a good number of occasions that I think all of us would agree are good. Of course not all the "Killer" inscriptions have universally accepted signatures but some do.

I agree - I think the "Killer" when its written in cursive is real, if the Jerry Lee checks out.  EVERY personalization I have gotten from Jerry Lee Lewis has been in cursive.  EVERY.

Mark

What about this one, which has "Killer" in cursive and "The" in block letters?

The problem with this on is the Jerry Lee Lewis is WAY OFF.  He almost never puts the dot over the i in lewis.  Lots of problems with this one.  But yes the Killer aint close.  If you believe that PSA is right with their opinions then this one would pass.  Its just like the "To Randy"  card authenticated by PSA you posted.

Mark

So, as far as you're concerned, are there ANY other authentic examples of "Killer" besides the one that you posted? How can you be sure that it's authentic? Is it simply because it supposedly comes from the collection of a huge JLL collector?

Totally "unauthentic".

So the TTM signed photo is inauthentic and the "Pop Goes the Country" photo contains an authentic signature and secretarial inscription? The same person responsible for the TTM "Killer" inscription also wrote "Killer" on the "Pop Goes the Country" photo and then handed it to JLL to sign?

Can you please post the "pop goes" photo you are talking about? I have lost track over time.
