Been reading a book by Hunter Davies on the Beatles lyrics on how the songs came together and showing original lyrics of the songs which he owns and other people own. Not bad.

I don't think it was a put down. Ringo is the poor man's Beatle. That is why I have 4 Ringo autographs but only 1 John Lennon.

That reminds me of an old skit, which I believe was on SNL. A Beatles auction was taking place and one of the lots was Ringo himself. He was wheeled out and they started the bidding.
