I have a couple of Lazzeri's and this one is a little off
The Gehrig seems to be "out of family" to the signatures I know
It has a PSA cert, FWIW

I think there's more of a chance that Charley Lau (latin, for "lousy catcher") might have signed it than Sweet Lou.
Well, needless to say I saw the bait and decided to chum the waters.....
What do you think of Lazzeri's?
As of yet, each and every time I look at that page, I can't see past the Gehrig, my eyes are hypnotically drawn to it. I'll give it another try. Maybe this time I'll try not to focus on the lower quadrant of the page. 8)
Most Lazzeri signatures I've seen in-hand have been on team baseballs and on golf scorecards. I don't recall ever seeing one where the dot for his 'i' and the period he often includes after Lazzeri merge into what looks like an 's'.
But coincidentally, there's untypically extraneous ink before the "L" in "Lau" Gehrig, same as there is after the "Lazzeris".
This is yet another Gehrig, like the other album page, that I'd walk away from and keep walking, even if the seller called out, "fifty bucks, sir?".
Weird, in a very non-convincing way as far as the authenticity goes here, despite the seal of approval.
Lazzeri is not too far off other "exemplars" He does have a trend to "run out of steam" at the end, so his terminations are plenty...
How about this one for Lou ( or Lau) (JSA cert)? Just something about it that does not "feel" right
While it's common for Lou to join with Gehrig, just like this, what's weird is seemingly one half of a "u".
So you think it is legit? It would be an early 1930's or late 20's as his signature got more compact in the mid to late 30's
the start of the e is also "funny" (sine wave vs saw tooth description would apply here)
I actually prefer the postcards where I can match a lot more words to his penmanship, but those are 2X or more the price of a cut. Harder to forge though..
