Double Fantasy - vinyl - John Lennon? 1980?
Says "For Ken" on the back.

I've read that there are appox. 10 known signed copies of "Double Fantasy"to exist...and this ain't one of 'em...most were signed for close friends...or maybe people who helped with the LP...

As I said to you in that other discussion I personally have my doubts about that one that sold for $20,000 yesterday too!

I think the Ken thing is just a coincidence, I don't think the one discussed in this thread is by the same hand and I think it's actually more likely to be genuine than the one sold at auction even if it has been ruined by somebody going over it in places and possibly even drawing the doodle themselves. The autograph and the '1980' look like they might be authentic to me. I'd have loved to have seen it before it was 'gone over'

It actually looks to me like it might be a genuine but rushed and incomplete signature that has then been ruined by somebody going over it in places.

If you were going to fake a JL autograph and knew enough to get the style correct for 1980 would you forge a signature that rushed and incomplete?

Here are some examples of John's signature from 1980, not sure of the date on the initialled drawing but late 70's to 1980 for sure.

Also odd is that the Double Fantasy that sold yesterday at heritage was to Ken, and this web site knocked down as a forgery another double fantasy addressed to Ken.  Who is Ken?
