Hi All, Newcomer to this forum.

I will try and not make too many mistakes while on this forum. I was left a book of autographs by my Dad. I am trying to verify a few of them before I start to sell them. Some are actors and others are historical figures mostly WW II Nazis. I have a trio of actresses that used to heat up the screen that I'd like your opinions on. The Garbo is pretty unique in that I've never seen her name signed like this, the G's are correct, the A is correct, the signature is clearly written in ink on an Edward Steichen reprint postcard of 1960's vintage making the time period correct I believe. I can't make up my mind about the Elizabeth Taylor one. I do think the Marlene Dietrich one is real. Your thoughts and opinion are welcome and I thank you in advance.

Welcome to the list - hope some folks can help you out here.  Please post large photos when you post however, as it allows them here to see pen strokes and such.

Thanks for your input I appreciate it. The chances of all three being "faux" would have to be astronomical since there is a 30 year difference from the time one was collected to the last, and from different parts of the country. One yes, all three ? what are the chances ? What I think may have happened is that Garbo saw that there wasn't enough room for her entire sig. so she may have tried to keep her name out of the picture. Another sceneario that I thought about was if someone want to fake her signature why would anyone choose to create a signature that had never been seen ? I would have gone with the one known worlwide. The mod told me to post a bigger photo of the sig. which I will do as soon as I figure out how to make the picture the right size 7mb. I believe. I'll do that.

I've been collecting Garbo for years. It's an imitation.
