The crossing of the "T" is very strange. I have never seen an authentic Munson autograph with that wavy crossing of the "T" which bothers me.

Having said that, overall the autograph looks OK to me but I am not certain it is authentic.

There are other Munson experts on this forum who I am sure will comment and you should trust their opinions.

If authentic and there are no other autographs on the ball, it is extremely valuable.

The autograph actually appears to be pretty typical to me but it just seems too good to be true.  What is the history of the item Joann?

It was given to my husband in 1977 or 78 as a Christmas gift when he was 9 .

Is Munson the only autograph on the baseball?

Yup only his signature is on the ball

Can you post a picture of the sweet spot showing the labeling of the baseball?

Here's is the label

I would submit the baseball for authentication to PSA/DNA if you want to try and sell it for full market value.

The cost will be $100 or so plus shipping and insurance but the ball is valuable and their letter will help sell it.

The opinions here are that it is likely authentic which are probably correct but you really need a 3rd party LOA to get real market value.

It would be more valuable if on an official American League baseball instead of a Little League ball but it still is worth a few thousand dollars if authenticated.

Don't get caught up in what sellers ASK for single signed Munson baseballs on Ebay because they ask $10,000 and up and they are not worth that unless they are immaculate autographs and baseballs.

If you want to sell it without authentication, you can join the Buy/Sell/Trade group on this site and list it for sale. You could possibly get a hit here.

I'm not interested in selling it at this point. I'm interested in getting it authenticated. I heard of JSA Authentication . Are they reputable?

Yes, they are considered very good on sports and the cost is about the same for them. The owner of JSA, Jimmy Spence,  was at one time the top authenticator for PSA/DNA before establishing his own company 8 years or so ago.

Great . Thanks for your help.

very strange.  I also have never seen the T made like that.  but the rest of the signature is spot on.  worth digging into further.
