A fan's story:
Yes! I got up, threw myself into a borrowed ride with literally 2 minutes notice, no ticket and no way home, grabbed the latest Wall documentary/concert ready from yesterday's non-signing event, withstood a deluge of rain on the line...but managed to get the DVD signed large in silver w/o getting it wet! The 12"x12" flat seemed a truly bad choice in the rain - the DVD had a plastic bag so that was that. I said "Thank you, Mr. Waters" 3 times, but he was yelling about eBay. Someone, perhaps right after me, tried to get two and Waters just drove off. Maybe he did 12 all together. I then waited for it to dry and started working on getting home safely. Got to hear a good chunk of soundchecks too - Breathe, Welcome to the Machine and some bits of others.
Pictures soon :) It will go nicely alongside my signed Gilmour DVD!

Thanks also to you Steve, much appreciated :)
Thanks Pete :) I appreciate the time.
Congrats. It seems that RW is going to be more and more difficult. :(
I will indeed. You know how this looks next to the signed Gilmour DVD that started with you? :D
Perhaps not perfect contrast, but in a rainstorm during an argument with an apparent scuffle I think I did OK with out getting it wet or smudged!
I will say, I have met 150 or so big celebs, but this man scared me. He was screaming about ebay, never looked up - just.... Unpleasant, or as Orson would say, "unrewarding". I'd do it again, but...
Hi Paul. Yes, he does. Well, the person right after me (?) tried to get two apparently back to back by changing hats and such (really?), someone wound up on the ground, there was a small scuffle I did not mention before, between whom I can't say because I don't know (but they all knew each other) something...I was trying to keep my DVD dry. Maybe the security guard or another - perhaps the next in line who got nothing? I called them all out after as "dealers" (loosely used)/"rackers", whatever the term. While telling me what they were already sold for and lamenting not getting 2 (such poor condition, scuffs...), they denied this! All I saw was DSOTM and The Wall LP's. No one had anything else. Yes, one program 2017. And a nice 18 yo boy who kept me company, as I don't do well in crowds of any size, who had his Dad's Dark Side Vinyl and who got a nice silver sig (HI NICK!). The rest? I dunno. Not for me. Uncomfortable. I felt like I was in a Japanese fish/tuna market on a Friday night (no offense to my many Japanese friends in Hiroshima who assist my research).
And Roger yelling like that - it did "scare" me. I felt like I was intruding or asking for the (dark side of) the moon or just bothering him...I wanted it made out to "Eric" (his dads name (but it would have rendered his graph smaller and I froze anyway). He was screaming.
Roger is (was) actually very fine guy until you respect his rules which are usually said to you before signing (that´s how it worked in our cases) - one per person, no handshake, no posing pictures (but you are allowed to take pics during signing) and then everything is fine. I remember one guy from Poland broke those rules in 2011 and Roger was very angry and annoyed by that - after signing that guy asked for posing picture with him and Roger denied to do that in pretty harsh way similar to "you know I´m not doing that, you were told about that, so f.... off".
Indeed Peter! I was VERY careful. It was the guy behind me or back one...
Eric
