Hello,

I just came across this dealer on the net. They have some very impressive credentials as far as the organizations they are part of, which makes me think they are probably okay, but their music prices are so low for what the names are. Some of their bigger names they have listed should be going for like 2 to 3 times what they are offering. So i just dont know. Any opinions?

I have also wondered about this particular ebay dealer. Maybe someone can help. They go by the name pilepounders and seem to specialize in music autographs and have some rare items at great prices, so im thinking no good. So many autographed photos of slipknot, paramore, etc? Just dont know how they get them.

Thanks for looking

Chris

I have never dealt with them but their items look like others I have seen on reputable sites.
How can you see anything you are getting?  It looks like a old site to me. Impossible to tell the authenticity.
That's what I was thinking.  I think that website has looked exactly the same for a long, long time.  Very old school.
maybe they are still in business, but i seriously doubt this is still an operating website. cannot make any comments on the autographs as you cannot see any of them, but it does remind me of the good ole days - looking in the back of Melody Maker or the NME - or in the states Goldmine and some other sports news rag i cannot recall and there would always be adverts with a  list of music autographs for sale, all Pre-internet boom. You simply wrote it down, sent it in, or called with what you want, sight unseen and hoped for the best. I can honestly say this happended to me once.....once!!
Thanks everybody
NO!  And I will leave it at that.

I have dealt with them a couple of times, and have no reason whatsoever to complain.  In one of these purchases, Gleason and Carney autos, I felt the Gleason aut. was likely secretarial.  They disagreed, but offered me a full refund, anyways.    Their website is active, but never uptodate it seems. You have to write them to see if something is available.  They often have listings on ebay. They are easy to  deal with, and honour the lifetime warranty.

Ok, I am going to speak out as I have seen many non authentic items In my honest opinion come from them.  I used to think they were my friends but I have seen MANY questionable items including a Macca guitar that has made me turn away from them.  They ran a Springsteen museum yet if you look at the Springsteen items they offer many have the word "Thanks" that is not even close to the way he wrote it.  I don't know why they turned a closed eye on authenticity but it surely seems to be what they have done.  Billy and Ruth who I once called my friends have not been my friend for many a year as to the things they have done in my opinion to the autograph community.
thank you for alerting us to this. I see this a lot unfortunately in the autograph community. Everything on the up & up, then after many years things tend to make a turn for the worse. I know in many cases this is all these people have done for their entire lives and they do not know how to do anything else. They get older or lose the desire to keep up on the latest happenings, the latest in person experiences, they stop questioning items and they completely stop going after in person autographs (if they ever did that). So, then they end up with no inventory and have to turn to the less-desirables of the world to "supply" them with product to make rent. How can any seller in this volatile industry risk so much out of pure laziness? Kudos to you guys that have a business and have maintained its legitimacy for upteen years. I enjoy my collection and have fun with it, but god knows i would never want to make a career out of it. White hats off to those who do! D
I agree with Roger on this one. I wrote to them asking to buy a Jimmy Page autograph which was authentic. A after I got it a few months later they wrote to me asking if I wanted to by some items they had and I said I would like to see scans first. They sent me scans of 3 signed Queen Lps and all three to me were not authentic. They don't show much on their website but will write to you saying what items are you interested in and they will come back with a list.

They are still in business. I contacted them about their Eagles items and these are the images they sent me.

The album is $300 incl. shipping

The sheet music is $150 incl. shipping

These items are not authentic in my opinion

ditto
