I emailed PSA about there opinion that the Disney was fake and this is the reply I had.
Alyssa (Collectors Universe) May 22, 2020, 7:02:21 AM PDT Good morning,
We are the most trusted authentication company on the market. People will still submit items even with an "unlikely to be real" to us because: 1. The Quick Opinion gives them a discount. 2. Sending it in for full authentication will give them closure and they know for certain whether it is authentic or not. Regards, Alyssa I really think this person is a sandwich short of a picnic....If you tell me that an autograph, in your opinion is not real....Why would I send it for full authentication ....DOH |
This is the difference between PSA and Phil Sears.....I sent him a signed Walt Disney photo for a quick opinion and as you can see....he advised me it was not signed by Walt and not to send it to him because of the added expense.
She is full of s***, instead of saying maybe they made a mistake (like they have done loads of times).
Who is their resident expert on Walt? Do they even have one? Doubt it.
Totally agree Al ++++++++++++
Those Quick Opinions aren't always Quick, I have waited 3 days and longer on a Quick Opinion to be rendered in the past. Meanwhile the auction ends and it's an item a buyer wants if it's authentic and it's a good deal. With the amount of forgeries in the market, can you blame a buyer on be cautious with his/her hard earned money? Sadly I have been in a similar situation and honestly I think it's great that Ebay has buyer protection policies.
