Weird signed PLEASE PLEASE ME. Did someone change johns sig?

top one just offered by iconic. Bottom one sold at heritage a few years ago. Obviously same sigs, but why is John a different color? 

both come with letters from Frank

Is it just a lighter scan? Ringo and George seem to have a different hue as well.
