So what do I do now?  I have possibly bought a fake autograph from ebay.  I have this stuff at my house. I filed a complaint on ebay with the seller (fightingirish14789632).  My stupidity cost me under $100 so I am not broke because of it; just mad at myself. Now what?  The money is spent and the goods are here.  Do I try to return it just so they can resale it?  File a police report and give it to them?  Do I just sit and wait now?  A rookie mistake.

Ugh, sorry to hear that.  Awful seller.  Hard to imagine whoever bought this piece of garbage for 18 bucks actually thought it was real.

Have you asked the seller to return the item?  You can probably file disputes with both Ebay and Paypal if necessary.  Unfortunately, fake autographs can be kind of rough business since the companies don't know what's real or not (even if it's common sense).

try to resolve it directly with the seller. if that fails, then file a report thru the ebay buyer protection plan.

Here's what I did with some of my forged autographs....

Tyler, that was awesome.  I wish that I had done that with my forged Robert De Niro autograph rather than throwing it into the garbage.  Who knows?  A sanitation worker may have sifted through the landfill and it still may be out there.  Great advice.

I would definatly contact the seller then be a little more diligant in the researching in what you purchase next time, But dont fret I am sure most of us have bought a turd at one time or another.

I agree with Terrier.  If you purchased it recently contact the seller and simply explain that you have reason to believe that your item is not genuine and that they should consult with their supplier to make sure that they are receiving authentic material.  If that doesn't work do what I did and just throw it into the garbage.  Sorry to hear that this happened to you Brandy.

The Ebay dispute process can be a time consuming pain. But, act fast and stick with it. If Ebay or PayPal doesn't take care of you asap, you should be able to file a dispute with your credit card company.
