I periodically find items I'd really like to own and I figure the rest of you do too.

This thread is dedicated to the items we wish we had and would like to share. They don't have to be the most expensive items, but things that have special meaning for some reason or catch our eyes.

Thanks to Mr Zipper for posting the first thread of this similar nature.

Sounds like some great authentication on the guitar. Are you going to shadow box it for display perhaps or hide it away?

Also, any John Lennon item in specific that you've looked at? If so let's see it here.

Brick, Brick, Brick...how can you lock something like that guitar under glass? If I owned it, I'd want to play it every now and then. Only Zepp songs of course...:)

It's easy when one can't play but maybe for a couple chords. Also kids like guitars and want to touch them with dirty hands and drop them accidentally so it depends on the situation. Think you can do something on it that wasn't done before or hoping some brilliance will rub off?

I haven't looked at any piece, I did ask MomentsInTime if they would trade lyrics for the guitar. They said they can only get lyrics for cash and I'll need between $250,000 - $1,000,000. I have nowhere near that if I did I wouldn't be working.

They were very keen on getting this guitar to sell for me but I passed.

i find that when i really want something, after getting it, i'm not as thrilled as i thught i would be prior to purchase. lessons in materialistic fulfillment that I try to exercise when buying autographs. Unfortunately, always easier said than done.

I concur, Darren. The dopamine levels certainly calm down after this sort of fufillment.

Awe shucks, we could be 'addicted' to much worse.

btw, was the Jimmy Page guitar a prototype guitar he played once, possibly at one show, or was it a guitar in his live arsenal that got a lot of use? Curious of the make, model, & year if you care to share. If not, I understand. D

I don't think he played it live it was a prototype. Its rumoured that he did play it on a solo album.

that Roland is very much of it's time.

My #1 desire would be Davy Crockett ( I live in the county of his birthplace ). Then comes...

George Washington

Ian Flemming

Paul McCartney

Neil Armstrong

Ronald Lacey ( Toht in Raiders of the Lost Ark )

John F. Kennedy

Signatures would be perfectly fine to me.

Right on for choosing Ronald Lacey. I dig the Jones' films, and Toht is quite memorable.

'Signatures would be perfectly fine' - as in on cardstock?

I've warmed up to this kind for the last while. In this manner I find one can gain quite a distance with their dollar and the signatures do stand out.

I'd love to also have a Ronald Reagan signature and a John F. Kennedy signature.
